Sisterly Love!!

I can not believe that my little Caroline turned 8 months old last week!!! Time really does fly by. She is such a happy little baby. Around 7.5 months she weighed around 15 lbs--yeah getting bigger and healthy! Hopefully we can stay away from the Dr. until her 9 month check up to get all her stats!
She is rolling all over the place and is SO ready to move. She wants to crawl or even walk but just can't seem to get everything together yet. I think it makes her very frustrated that she can't move around. She loves to stand and will stand holding onto something by herself for at least ten minutes or more. Strong little legs! She loves to gab just like her Mom and sister Taylor. Often times she screams and makes high pitch noises but is also starting to form little words. Daycare has been working with the class on waving and last week she started to say "Bye Bye," she also waves her hand; sometimes her whole arm but it is still precious.
Taylor's first word was "Da Da" and I always told Rob that I would try to work with Caroline so her first word be "Ma Ma." On Saturday I had a wonderful surprise from Caroline. My sweetie started saying "Ma Ma!" I melted and just love the sound of it from her and her older sister Taylor. Taylor says it all; she calls me Ma, Mom, Mommy...either way I love it, even when I wish she was calling for Daddy instead :)

The girls are growing up too fast. Rob and I are trying to enjoy every minute of it. We have been blessed with two beautiful, healthy loving girls.

Here are a couple of shots of Caroline before Taylor woke from her nap.

So after Taylor got up from her nap (oh and YES Taylor insists on putting her PJ's on for her nap...hey we will do whatever it takes!) I captured some sisterly love!!!...Well it started off sweet

Caroline was ready to play!
Too funny!!!
They had a blast, really!

Taylor was also trying to watch her cartoons.

Come on Taylor, Caroline is still rowdy!

We have to remind Taylor to be easy with Caroline, although Caroline loves playing with Taylor no matter what!

I think Taylor won this one, but they both finished "playing" with a smile!

Easter and picture OVER LOAD!

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday. We didn’t have too much planned but we sure were busy all day! That morning we went to church with Mimi and Popie and then went to their house for brunch. Taylor and Caroline were excited that the Easter Bunny even made a quick stop at their house too as they were spoiled with more goodies!!

That afternoon we went to visit Grandpa Kenney and enjoyed our time with him. Back home again, we played outside for the rest of the day. Our neighbor, Layne decided to have an Easter Egg hunt for the neighborhood kids that afternoon. Layne is so creative! After the kids found all the eggs it was story time. Layne talked to the kids about the true meaning of Easter. The candy, eggs, bunnies and all are nice but it was good to have some time to really reflect and realize what we are celebrating this time of year. I thought it was a great idea and glad she included us! Taylor enjoyed the egg hunt and sat quietly and listened attentively to the story. Caroline smiled and laughed while sitting on the blanket chewing on one of the eggs. A wonderful afternoon! There was WAY too much candy but all in all a perfect weekend.

So I tried and tried to get a picture of the girls together. Here Taylor was trying to get Caroline to smile..she is so helpful :)...Just priceless

Caroline was ready to eat. She looks like such a big girl sitting in Taylor's booster.

Our artist...Taylor was painting with her new goodies from Mimi & PopieCaroline was enjoying her new CD player from Mimi and Popie; I think it is a favorite of Taylor's too
Again Taylor is going through this camera shy phase and doesn't want us taking her picture at all!
I just thought this one was so funny of little Caroline with her "perma-grin" in the back ground!

Daddy's girl for sure!!

Good Friday!

The girls' daycare was closed today for this wonderful Easter Weekend so I took the day off from work. The girls and I went out to the Natural Science Center and had a wonderful morning! It really was one of the best days I have spent with my two girls. We had a great time, enjoyed the beautiful weather and had a fun filled day together. The only thing that could have made it better was if Rob was there with us for the day.
Taylor was REALLY camera shy today; she kept telling me, "No Camera!" I kept trying though...
Both girls loved the peacock and kept pointing to it. When it started to ruffle it's feathers though Taylor said she was scared and wanted me to take a picture of the peacock going away! :)
Caroline seriously smiled and laughed the whole time we were at the science center. Everyone would stop and say what a happy baby she was...she had a blast and was worn out from our morning! Taylor was determined to get on top of this rock.
She was intrigued by the alligator and was willing to take a picture with it...of course I didn't get the best pictures from here though!

That night the girls were so funny together. Caroline already looks up to her big sister. She is constantly watching Taylor and laughing at her! We are still trying to teach Taylor that she has to be gentle with Caroline but usually no matter what Caroline will just laugh at whatever Taylor is doing. This video clip is hilarious and Caroline's laugh is so sweet to hear. She really LOVES her big sister Taylor!!!

Easter at Grammy and PawPaw's House

So next weekend Grammy and PawPaw will be out of town visiting my sister and her family, (We are jealous of course as we miss The CT crew terribly and would love to see them too!!) so Grammy decided to have everyone over yesterday for my birthday and Easter. The kids had their annual Easter Egg hunt and then we all enjoyed a good Bar-B-Que dinner.
So I wish I was able to particpate this year as all the eggs were filled with money!!! Taylor LOVES money to put in her piggy bank!

This year Caroline didn't participate in the egg hunt, but she enjoyed hanging out on the back porch watching everyone else run about.

Caroline got to chew on one of Ellie's eggs....sweet girls!

THANK YOU!

So yesterday I turned the BIG 30!!! Now I have lots of THANK YOU's to send out. I had a wonderful birthday thanks to my family and friends. My wonderful husband was able to pull off a surprise birthday party for me with the help of our good friends and parents.
I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband! I love him so much and all of his efforts.
Rob took me out to a nice dinner and then the plan was to meet some friends out. To my surprise once we got to the bar everyone was in the back waiting for us to arrive.
SURPRISE!! (I really had no clue!) Everyone did a great job of being sneaky!
I had such a great time. Seriously I can not remember the last time I was intentionally up past 2 am! We had a fabulous time though hanging out with everyone and enjoying some much needed adult time!!
Thank you to everyone that was able to make it out on Saturday night to celebrate with me! You are all so thoughtful and I am truly blessed to have you in my life!
