Great weekend visit with Uncle Tom

Uncle Tom came in for another visit this weekend to see Grandma Kenney and all of us. As usual we had a wonderful time. This visit was even better since Uncle Tom was able to stay for a long weekend! Taylor had a blast with him Saturday and Sunday playing hide and seek and just being silly. Caroline got to spend some quality time with him too while Uncle Tom, Caroline and I shopped on Saturday afternoon. We are looking forward to his next visit when Aunt Sharon is going to join him!
Cheers with Uncle Tom!

After our afternoon of shopping...Caroline was a sweet angel (except for the last 30 minutes in the car--sorry Uncle Tom!!)

Caroline is 3 months!!!

So I know I have been slack about posting updates and especially pictures so I decided this morning that I HAD to take a few of Caroline before heading to daycare. (Our schedule was off this morning as Rob and Taylor left before us.)
I thought she was just precious in her little pink jump suit. She is growing everyday and smiling all the time now. She is a happy baby. She has only lost some of her hair and it still spikes up on top?! Not sure what to do about that :)
Last weekend Caroline turned over for the first time. Grammy and I were playing with her on the floor and there she went...from her back to her belly. PawPaw was in the kitchen and was able to catch her in action as well!

Love her smile and "excited face"

Not sure what she is thinking here...serious yet almost confused face

Caroline loves her new lovie...super soft elephant

Taylor school picture

Our little girl isn't so little any more! Taylor is two and getting to be such a big girl. This is her picture from Village Kids. She is the youngest in her class but you would never know it as she is definitely the tallest one in the class. Hard to believe she is not our little baby anymore! She is growing up too fast.

Halloween Pictures

Taylor was a precious little Ladybug for Halloween and Caroline was a cute plump pumpkin.
This year Taylor was really into the holiday. She knew to ring the door bell and say "Trick-or-Treat" She even said thank you at each house without me telling her to do so. Love her manners!
Since Caroline just turned 10 weeks old there really wasn't a need for her to go out for candy. She had a good time staying in with Grammy, Mimi and Popie.

Kate and Taylor were slower than the other kids and were usually the last two at the door...

Halloween

I know I should be posting pictures from Halloween but I don't have my camera right now. We went to Quinn's birthday party on Saturday and we were in such a rush to get out of there (Taylor was over tired and started acting up!) that we left the camera in their living room! Once I get it back I will post pics of the girls from this week.

Starting back to work!

So we made it back from CT on Monday around midnight! We were supposed to come back on Tuesday but I just didn't think about the fact that I had to start work again on Wednesday. I wanted a day to get things together and feel more settled before sending Caroline to daycare and me back to Polo. Wednesday morning was a little hectic as we are not used to getting two children and Rob out of the door by 7:30am! I ended up taking Caroline to school that day. Rob took Taylor as the normal routine. I was definitely emotional leaving Caroline at Village Kids. I knew I would miss our time together during the day. I got really emotional as I walked out to my car and on the way into work. I guess I did have some comfort knowing that Caroline was in good hands. One of her teachers, Ms. Myniah was also Taylor's teacher. Rob and I really liked Myniah so I think that helped knowing her teacher in advance. I must say it was hard to leave her but it was definitely easier with her than it was with Taylor. I guess the second time around is easier but still emotional!

Love this picture of Taylor!

These two were adorable but definitely two wild yet funny out of control 2-year olds!! Mason and Taylor LOVED being with each other! They were watching Dora in this picture...

I didn't have a hat for Taylor and we tried to squeeze her big noggin in this size 6-12 month old hat of Mason's!! Kerri and I were heading to the park with them while Grammy kept the two younger cousins.

Sorry I have been really bad about blogging here lately but I must say I have been a little busy! I guess I should start back on Friday Oct. 24th when we drove to CT to visit my sister and her family to celebrate the baptism of Jacob. Rob was honored that Kerri and Jim asked him to be Jacob's Godfather. This was a VERY LONG drive but it was totally worth it! We had such a great time and can't wait for them to be with us here in NC over Thanksgiving weekend.
The drive was rather long but the girls actually did great considering the circumstances. Really who would want to be strapped in a car seat with limited mobility for 12 hours?! I know I would go crazy too. Thank goodness for DVD's and for Barney and The Wiggles! It got old for Rob and I to listen to them but Taylor sure loved every minute. Caroline was a trooper too although it wasn't too different from her normal routine these days of eating and sleeping. We made it there and back home in one piece so we are thankful and really glad that we were able to spend time with our family!
