We went to the Ocean Isle Beach over the Memorial Day weekend with my parents, my brother & his family and my sister & her family. We had a wonderful time. We usually make this annual beach trip later in the summer around the end of August but with that being the time Kerri and I are due we decided to go earlier this year so we could all make it. We also cut the trip a littleshort too but it was a fun filled 5 days. Mason took to the water instantly and wasn't too interested in the sand. Taylor was a little hestitant at first of the water but that soon changed!! She was asking to go out further each time she got near the water. All of the kids played so well together. Every morning Taylor couldn't wait to get out of bed and run out to the living room to meet Mason, Sklyer, Aiden, and Ellie....even at 6:30 AM everyday she was ready to go! Needless to say it was not a trip where Mommy and Daddy got much sleep. I guess it worked out for the best since we were able to get out to the beach early and start the day. We all got a lot of sun, had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the family being together. Can't wait for the longer trip next year....we will have to get a bigger house to hold the growing Shewcow, McKay and LeBlanc families!
